About Solomon: Incorporated & Regulated LERO Community Provider

Solomon is the name people meet. Behind it sits Phenomenal Sobriety, an Incorporated and Regulated LERO Community Provider structured as two linked companies under an intercompany services agreement: Phenomenal Sobriety Limited, a UK Limited Company (Companies House No. 16387137), and Phenomenal Sobriety Sp. z o.o. in Poland.

David Henzell founded and leads Phenomenal Sobriety Limited. He is in long-term recovery himself. Phenomenal Sobriety Sp. z o.o. is co-owned with our Clinical Lead, Kathryn Blackburn who is also in long-term recovery.

A LERO is an independent, autonomous, peer-led organisation, one where strategic direction, leadership, and day-to-day decisions sit with people who have lived through addiction and found their way out of it. That is who we are.

Our Commitments to the National LERO Standards

  1. Lived-experience leadership: Solomon was founded by, and remains led by, someone in long-term recovery. Across our board and management, more than half of strategic and product decisions rest with leaders who have lived experience, in line with national frameworks.

  2. Autonomous and inclusive support: We work independently of state-run clinical services. Solomon meets people wherever they are, regardless of treatment pathway, sobriety timeline, or circumstances.

  3. Safety built in, not bolted on: Solomon is a digital tool, not a clinical service, and we hold ourselves to that distinction honestly. When a conversation shows signs of crisis or heightened risk, our safeguarding protocol steps in: it pauses the conversation and points the person toward emergency resources and local support. This protocol is live and continually refined. It has not yet completed formal external clinical review, and we say so plainly rather than claim more than is true.

  4. Built with the recovery community, not for it: We don't design Solomon in isolation. Every response, every feature, every judgement call is shaped alongside people in active recovery and public health partners who test it, challenge it, and tell us when we've got it wrong.
